Labor Day Weekend
Went to Del Mar racetrack on Saturday with the kids. During the summer they have "Family Weekend" activities which consist of 3 giant inflatable play things (slide, obstacle course and bounce house), one guy on stilts, one guy in a horse costume, face painting, pony rides and a petting zoo that we couldn't find. There was also supposed to be a "spin the prize wheel" and magicians but we didn't see those either.
So we packed up a picnic lunch, made up a pitcher of margaritas to sneak in (there was a cooler inspection, but they didn't really look very hard), gathered up our chairs and umbrella and set up camp in the infield. The weather was great and the kids had fun. At one point, Stone got separated from Layla and a security officer brought him back to us but that was the only excitement of the day. We stayed for about 6 races and we couldn't pick a winner to save our lives, but we still had good time.
